Usually, i'd do a horse run in 8 frames (Doubles) this slo mo run is 16 frames and therefore, half the speed.

This is just a rough animation test, i'll probably scrap it when i get a clean version up. All frames drawn in The GIMP.

I just... I just LOVE how you animated him!

It's not quite horse-like, but a unique run of its own. Very fluid and very interesting. <3

I still can't animate anything on GIMP.........I use Sticky Notes:XD:

Do you know any websites/videos that would help me?

Mine? =p [link]

I really just use GIMP to draw out the frames because the animation plugin for it kinda sucks. They got plenty of tutorials on their site and i'm sure theres plenty of video tutorials on youtube.

MonkeyJam is what i use to quickly test the animations too. Thats pretty straight-forward, import pictures and click preview =p

Is it just lightly galloping? I'm gonna be critical, and I'm no expert! But from what you taught me! Aren't the legs a bit too in sync? The back and front legs? Would there some sort of delay in any of the pairs? I can see a slight delay but would there need to be a bigger gap? Just to show, as with animation you need to exaggerate!! That's just my thought!! Feel free to ignore it!

No, i agree, though i didnt intend for it to be a full gallop, it's a bit synced to be even a canter. It worked well as a canter when it was just 8 frames, just adding the frames inbetween messed it up i think :( but i dont see how it could have happenned.

Well, in a way, i guess i've taught you well, grasshopper!! =p
