Story of Cornelius - Chapter 1: Page 05 by DarkmaneTheWerewolf Story of Cornelius - Chapter 1: Page 05 by DarkmaneTheWerewolf
Fiery opal, though beautiful, will take about 5 hours to draw for nit-picky artists like myself :fear:

Shading could've been better though ><

I'm somewhat less ashamed of the boring backgrounds here as the text is bunched in that middle panel with the most empty space. Without the text, i felt i needed to put some hanging pictures, curtains or anything to make it less boring, but after adding the text bubbles etc, i felt less guilty as it might've made the text harder to read... Then i made them smaller  wooo....

[Start from the beginning] [Previous Page] [Next Page]

Updates/changes:
-Altered Cornelius' pose in panel 1 thanks to ~SlippyMagnus
-Forgot to colour the fur around Ornstein's left ear in middle panel.

As you told me earlier, I'll be judging you harshly.

When Cornelius reaches for the Opal (I like how you did that too!) it doesn't seem that he shifts/adjusts his gaze as you'd expect when reaching for something higher than you can see.

That's it, as you already said you kinda skimped on your Shading. I'd rather not review you in this fashion, but you said it helps, so here I am... Reviewing harshly.

DISCLAIMER
(As for anyone who thinks there is nothing wrong with this, and goes to lookit my Artworks and other reviews, know this: I DO NOT often review so hard, but if someone asks me to, I can. If you are going to do this sorta reviews for me, know that I'll accept them, regardless how much they rip into me)

I see what you mean, really, he should be looking much higher than i've done eh?

Again, these are exactly the sorts of things i'd like people to point out because i couldn't see that on my own (If you pardon the pun XD) and i do really appreciate the help =)

I can get that corrected as well as the shading when i get the chance (And come up with a better BG for that middle panel ><)

Just know that every time I do this, I WILL point out that I don't generally review so sharply, because it kinda bothers me that you want me to be so quick to point out flaw.

I'd like others to do that with my works, but unless specified, I judge on it's impact, and don't nitpick on things like that!
